Thomas Rebek Thomas Donald Rebek is an accomplished designer and visual artist.  He was born on April 26, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Carl Paul Rebek, of Slovenian descent, and Frances Elizabeth Dries Rebek of German descent.  He graduated from Marquette High School in 1960 and then obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Layton School of Art (currently the Milwaukee School of Art and Design) in 1964.  In his senior year he designed and built a chair entirely of aluminum that was entered into the annual Alcoa Scholastic competition in 1964. It won the National Alcoa Design Award in 1964 and is displayed in the archives of the Alcoa Corporation.  He was awarded a teaching fellowship to the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and completed his Master of Fine Arts Degree there in 1966.  He went on to teach art and design in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University from 1966 to 1969.  Thomas moved to Boston, MA in 1969 and...

Undercover Boss

  Deon C. Jefferson How it all started........I was on the reality show “Undercover Boss:” I was on the show while I lived in Ohio. I was an employee of Alfred Angelo Bridal. The show was top secret, so I did not have a lot of details about. When the producers of the show introduced the idea of being on a reality show, I originally said no. The producer of the show called me and told me that “if I didn’t do the show, it would be a big mistake”. to me, this was a huge risk because they were not allowed to tell me that the show was “Undercover Boss”. They had to keep it a secret by only giving me small details. To make a long story short, I took the spot on the reality show. I then became a full-time designer making gowns for a manufacturing bridal company. I now live in Florida because of the risk. I was able to move to Florida and have designed for two bridal companies. My art is influenced my history and music. Growing up, I enjoyed the history of anything. I love turning on my re...
